Earlier today, I picked up a Bosch 1591EVSK jigsaw. It is one of those barrel grip jigsaws. It has lots of power, very easy blade changing and has a feature to keep the blade from deflecting whereby a couple of guides snug up to the side of the blade. It looks great.
I own an old Skil jigsaw but have to say that it has always disappointed me for virtually every task I have ever used it on. The only other power tool I can see needing is perhaps a sander.
I already have a belt sander, a little Bosch sander with the triangular head and a finishing sander but don’t know if I should get one of the 1/4 sheet orbital sanders I see mentioned.
Not to worry, I have lots of time before I start building.
